I was going to make an image and caption it, but this gets the point across so perfectly.
You know Obama’s doing a great job when the conservative candidates throw the issues that SHOULD be being debated (the economy, jobs) out the window and bring in attempts at the religious vote.
Abortion shouldn’t be debated. Contraception shouldn’t be debated. It should just be for those who need access to it.
Women shouldn’t be stripped of their right to choose because other people say it contradicts what they think is right.
It’s become cliché to say so, but this is a democracy, not a theocracy. This country was founded on freedom of religion, not freedom to shove the most powerful beliefs down everyone’s throats. It’s an absolute shame, and I just don’t understand how there are still people who don’t get this concept.
